Hi! My name is Chelsea. I love to run, eat delicious food, and drink red wine and bourbon. I am finishing up my PhD in Reading Education - as of April 2017, I was officially ABD (All But Dissertation). I am currently a full-time student, and I teach adjunct courses for two universities. I resigned from my full-time teaching job at the end of the school year in May of 2017. I was a reading specialist for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I was a classroom teacher for three years before that and had my position as a reading specialist for two. During those five years, I was also a full-time graduate student - getting my master's & then starting on my PhD, which I am slated to graduate with in May or August of 2018! I am really excited to focus on my dissertation & train for my first full marathon. I have an amazing fiancè who trains (running and riding) more than I do - hello ultras on ultras - and two perfect furbabies. I put Sriracha on everything. Literally everything.
I hope you enjoy my blog! I look forward to getting to know you!
Our engagement video:
Jake, my fiancè, proposed to me after he crossed the finish line of a 100 mile run. A family friend was able to get the whole thing on video, which you can see HERE. It was the best day!
