I was on my computer again for most of the day yesterday. Once I graduate, I'm not going to know what to do with myself!
I resigned from my full-time job as a reading specialist in May, so it's been an adjustment not going to work. I had always had a full-time job and been a full-time student, so it's taken some getting used to only being a student! I'm also teaching a couple of online classes for two universities, looking for jobs, and co-authoring a research article with a professor at Mizzou. All the computer things! I think this is why my running is even more important to me right now. If I don't start my day with a run or workout of some kind, I REALLY don't love sitting around all day on my computer. If I run, I at least feel like I'm letting my legs rest a little while I'm on my computer. Good excuse, right? I know I'm going to have days when a run isn't going to happen; however, a good run in the AM really helps. BUT - graduation is CLOSE. May or August, it just depends on my study. I'm assuming it'll be August, but we will see!
I did manage to get some good puppy cuddles in yesterday morning. They love when I hold them against their will and make them love me. ; )
Lunch was chicken and sweet potatoes! Sweet potatoes with BBQ sauce is everything. SO. GOOD.
After lunch, I started marinating our dinner - tilapia with lime juice, seafood seasoning by Primal Palate (which is seriously amazing - I'll put a link to it on my blog page), and a little ginger.
I came back to the seat thief striking again. She's lucky she's cute.
I got hungry after lunch - story of my life. I try not to buy granola bars very often, but these are my FAVORITE. Luckily, this was the last one. I enjoyed every bite of it!
Then I had a little almond butter and some super greens mixed with chocolate almond milk and water. YUM.
I went out in the garage with some recycling and decided I needed to rearrange our shoes. Yes, I was procrastinating my work, but I just needed to get up and do something! i even cleaned the bathrooms yesterday. That's desperation. ; ) Turns out, we are pretty obsessed with Altra. AND Jake has more shoes that I do. Does that seem fair? I say no! His are on the left and mine are on the right. What's a girl to do?? Guess I need to go shopping! Jake also takes his shoes off with the laces still tied. That's madness.

Then I came back inside for another snack...carrots and hummus with Sriracha. Yes, please. I 100% finished off that hummus. Whoops.
For dinner, we tried those beet noodles I had posted about earlier this week! WOW. They were delicious. We will definitely buy them again. We also had my favorite brussels sprouts and the tilapia from earlier. It was really good! I love trying new things and loving them - if you like beets, try these beet noodles. I got them at Price Cutter.
Jake had a meeting last night at our house, which I was hoping to get to sit in on - it's for a mountain bike race he is helping with here in town - but I still had work to do, so the girls and I camped out in our bedroom and I worked until about 9 PM. Aspen and Lu were both over me working.
I was pretty over it, too! I poured a huge glass of wine to make myself feel better. It helped a little!
We booked our house for Nashville last night - isn't this adorable?? We are going to have a blast! We are doing the Rock 'n' Roll - Kayla is running her first half and Jyssica and I are running our first fulls! We are going to make a weekend of it!
Breakfast was casserole and a muffin again. These muffins turned out really good - they're paleo pumpkin banana muffins. Super yummy!
Any one have any fun things we HAVE to do in Nashville?
It's more computer work for me today...I've been getting a lot accomplished, so at least there's that! I might do a little rowing workout here in a bit as a break. Jake and I switched our weekend running plans, so we taking today off from running instead of tomorrow. I can't wait to get some good, long miles in on trail Saturday. <3
