An ab workout for you + a relaxing night + our weekend plans!

After my run yesterday, I went to the DMV to drop some stuff off for Jake. I didn't there until almost 11, so I was worried it was going to be CRAZY busy. That place is always nuts. Luckily, I was in and out of there in 20 minutes! Our DMV just moved locations and the new place is pretty nice!

Here's a 10 minute ab workout to try! I like to go through it two or three times -it's a good one!

I am obsessed with collagen peptides. I've had a couple people ask me which brand I use. I have tried a couple different ones, but this is my current favorite. It blends really well and it's unflavored. I think it really does help my joints! I'm fighting a little knee stuff right now, just a small tweak, so I'm icing, drinking my collagen peptides, and taking a glucosamine tablet.

For lunch I had a smoothie (with collagen peptides mixed in) and leftover beets from dinner Wednesday night.

My smoothie matched my eyes, which I was pretty excited about. (It's the small things!) Also, huge shout-out to Jo Ann at Acacia Spa for my beautiful lashes!! Lash extensions are my guilty pleasure. I don't like spending time in the bathroom getting ready, so I hardly wear make-up. Having lash extensions make me feel like I did something make-up-wise, which is so nice! She's the best.

After lunch, I did a little work on my dissertation, then got a little arm circuit in. I did 3 rounds of different movements with free weights, a resistance band, and the rig we have in our garage. I've been working hard to get back into a good strength training plan.

Jake and I had a meeting last night to go over the Singletrack Mind Festival that we helped with over Labor Day Weekend. We ate some leftover chili super fast and then headed to the meeting. The meeting went really well and it's fun to hear all of the feedback from attendees! Singletrack Mind Festival 2018 will be awesome - be there! Lori is in charge of the event and she is incredible. I don't know how she does everything that she does - she's the ultimate girl boss!

Before we left, we had to get a front door selfie! We got a new keyless entry, so that's suuuper fun to use!

When we got home, we wanted to relax a little. I also needed a popsicle. Jake is a little terrifying in this picture, haha!

The girls were busy playing with their new toys...More like fighting over one toy while the other toy just sat there. Eye-roll.

Today is my rest day!!! And I need it. I'm going to try and stay off my feet and fuel properly today. I have a long run tomorrow - I haven't decided if I'm going to run trail or road yet. I REALLY need some trail miles in...so that's what I'm leaning towards. 

I love jelly, so I grabbed this from the store the other day. Blackberry and blueberry are my favorite. Jake likes strawberry best. What's your favorite jelly?? Any other flavors or brands we should try?

Any big weekend plans?
I'm going to lunch with my Momma later, then Jake and I have a rehearsal dinner for our two friends, Michael and Kindal, who are getting married this weekend! We are so excited for their wedding - it's going to be a blast! I have a long run Saturday morning, then the Plank wedding! I'm sure my legs will be dead after running and dancing all night - Sunday will probably be spent chilling on the couch. I'll need to get a short recovery run in, but that's about it! I'm hoping to start hearing back about some edits to my proposal, so hopefully I'm working on IRB (who I need to get permission from to conduct my study) all next week. Fingers crossed!
