Sometimes after a run I just throw my gross, sweaty hair up into a bun and enjoy my coffee. Anyone else do this?
I added this to my coffee after my run. So. Good. I usually just use MCT oil (Thanks, Sarah, for the reminder!!) but it comes in a glass container, so I didn't want to bring it with us to Colorado. That Bulletproof Brain Octane is the same thing pretty much.
The guys got back from their ride right as I was making breakfast, so I made them some, too. Egg and veggie scramble for the win! <3 With Sriracha.
Then it was off to work...my first 3 chapters are officially 76 pages long - I don't think I'll add much length-wise (fingers crossed). Have I mentioned that I'm ready for graduation? Because I am.
I am obsessed with our running calendar at home, so I knew I needed to tear off the pages we would be gone for and bring them with us. Look what the calendar said yesterday! It matched my favorite headband.
I FINALLY finished my work after about 2 hours, so we made lunch! I was STARVING. Check out this bad boy. YUM.
Then it was off to drive around and explore!
Snacks on snacks. I may or may not have had two snacks in my bag. You never know how long you're going to be away from food! That's a serious concern for me and causes anxiety. No joke. Jake and I split a fig bar while we waited out a little rain shower. I just realllllly love food.
We both had never been to Silverthorne, so we drove that way - look at what we found! One of our favorite things to do at home is just drive around and look at houses. Well, I guess we love to do that anywhere. As I begin the job search, we are KIND OF considering places to live other than Springfield, so it's nice to experience different towns! And these views - you just can't beat them.
It's just so beautiful. This is one of my favorite pictures from our trip thus far.
After we drove around, we grabbed groceries, then headed back to the condo to play some frisbee. Look at that form! ; )
I love this. It's a good reminder! (Thanks, Tammy, for sharing it!)
Jake made this amazing dinner for all of us last night. It was awesome! I worked for another 2 hours before dinner. Chapter 2 is almost ready to go!!
Guess what I get to do tomorrow?! Climb FOUR 14'ers (weather permitting). Which is also why this is posted so early. : ) Here is what I'm taking in my pack, along with a bladder of water and a hard bottle with replay hydration mix. I will take a MILLION pictures, so my post Thursday will be full of gorgeous views!
Happy Wednesday! I hope your day is wonderful!
I write about whatever is going on each day. I want to use this space as a place to document my dissertation and training journeys.
