Exciting groceries + a sweet documentary + that hurt…

I have officially lost my favorite blanket to this spoiled furball.

Breakfast yesterday! I took a break from my egg and oatmeal concoction, but it’ll be back! I was just craving some veggies.

My two favorite go-to spices right now. I’ve been putting these on EVERYTHING.

Here’s the rowing circuit I talked about on Instagram yesterday. The part that is bracketed off is just abs, and I waited until Jake got home to do that so we could do them together. The rowing circuit itself took me 35 minutes (I stopped and switched over some laundry in the middle and then took another break to go to the bathroom). Jake did the whole thing in 27 minutes without any breaks, so it’s a fast workout! But it hurts. We were both definitely feeling it this morning during our run.

I love these Altras! They’re called the Escalante and they literally feel like you’re wearing a sock. They’re crazy light and squishy.

I was pretty happy to be finished with that workout…

I was STARVING afterwards, so I chowed down on my leftovers from Galloway on Sunday. A veggie burger with hummus and sweet potato fries. This is one of my favorite meals from Galloway. The veggie burger is incredible. And I always get their sweet potato fries. They’re delicious!

Check out that goodness…now I’m hungry again…

Exciting day over here! We switched up some bedding. We got a duvet cover to go over a white down comforter we had in our guest room. It didn’t match what we had in there, so I moved it into our room and moved our old quilt to the guest room. I really like it! Sometimes you just need a little change.

New guest room bedding. We need to get some pillows for this bed…

It’s kind of hard to see, but I rubbed my hands raw in a couple of places using the rower. They were pretty sore all day! One time when I was using the rower last winter, I rubbed a huge chunk of skin off my tailbone. It was terrible. No clue how that happened.
Picture

I went to the grocery store yesterday and got lots of my favorite things! Dried mango and papaya – heck yeah!
Picture

Whoops…I couldn’t pick just one. I NEEDED all three.

I have NEVER had Halo Top before. I caved and bought some. We ate a little of the mint chip last night – wow, it’s good! We have been missing out! Anyone have any flavors they love?!
Picture

I made THESE no bake cookie dough protein bites. I think I added a little too much coconut flour, but we will see! I haven’t tried them yet. I actually followed the recipe!
Picture

They all have chocolate chips in them, you just can’t see them all. Maybe I should’ve added more…
Picture

Only the best fiancè will come home from work and try out your rowing workout. He killed my time, of course. ; )

We had some of the frozen portion of that veggie and sausage soup I made last week. It’s super good after being frozen! We added a little quinoa to it, then had salad and cornbread on the side.

Guys, watch this. What an amazing documentary. Janae, from Hungry Runner Girl, suggested it yesterday and we absolutely loved it. It’s all about the attempt to run a marathon in 1:59:59. The athletes attempting needed to run an average pace of 4:34 or faster – can you even imagine?! I am officially obsessed with Eliud Kipchoge. He said the following and it really stuck with me – “If you don’t rule your mind, it can rule you.” So much truth in that. If you haven’t seen Breaking2 yet, you can watch it HERE. Let me know what you think!

We made sure we were hydrating while watching Breaking2. An adult beverage (because Monday) and lots of water!

Up at 4:30ish to run! Someone thought 4:30 AM was the perfect time to play…she sat here and growled at me because I wouldn’t throw her toy.
Picture

We got 7 in this morning and it was a little bit of a struggle. We were both kind of dragging and felt heavy. I’m glad we had each other, though. Sometimes Jake would start to feel good, so I’d have to really push to keep up with him, and sometimes I would feel good and he would have to do the same.
Picture

Here are my splits. I am super proud of us for speeding up each mile. Partly because it makes this split chart SO pretty, but also because we were tired. I’d say it’s about 60/40, with the split chart being 60… ; )
Picture

Then we inhaled this goodness! Two eggs over easy, peppered turkey sausage links, mushrooms, and a waffle with PB. It was SO good. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t already hungry again, though…

My PLAN for today is to finish the edits for the article I’m helping present at a literacy conference in Florida next month. I’m planning on going to yoga later, too. But the article is the priority!
Any Halo Top flavors we need to try?
Any rowing workouts you love?
Other HIIT workouts to try?
Has anyone seen Breaking2?!
Cheers to Tuesday!

My coach has a “HIIT Kit” and I tried one of those workouts on Sunday in addition to your rowing circuit from a few weeks ago. It was as follows:
15 minutes to see how far you can row:
250m row at all out pace
after each row, 25 reps of pushups, jump squats OR lunges (one exercise x25 reps between each row)
I got to 1750m, and I did the movements in between in a waterfall format (pushups, squats, lunges, lunges, squats, pushups)
    Have a good day!

Dang, Dayle! That sounds intense – I love it! You killed it.
Thanks for sharing, lady! I hope you have a great day!
