I got to wear my new Lulu jacket that I bought from Val - thanks, lady. I love it (I'm obviously pretty dang excited about it)! I do not like hoods, so any time I come across a jacket without one, I have to have it. We headed to Jake's parents' for dinner, where Chelsea did some pre-dinner dancing to get her mind and body ready to chow down! P.S. Penny and I were drinking that wine, not Chelsea!
We had a blast at Jake's parents' last night. They cooked a FEAST. Jeff is a grill master and those mushrooms that Penny made were to die for! We definitely left their house with full, happy bellies.
Jake & I found these super cool stemless wine glasses at Macadoodles yesterday - can't wait to break them in! I don't know if I like stemless or stemmed better...anyone out there like one over the other?
I woke up this morning with a low fever. Not happy. I do not have time to be sick right now, so I was pretty frustrated. I'm the worst sick person EVER because I just get mad and refuse to rest, I know, I know, it's dumb. Well, I decided I needed to stop being that way, so I took some medicine, grabbed a smoothie, and headed back to bed. My Mom got us this re:iimmune for Christmas. I've never taken it before, but I'm trying it out today! Have anyone ever used this? I also stopped by B2 Cafe to grab a smoothie and a juice this morning around 10. I just finished the smoothie at about 4:30...whoops. I have literally slept all day! My fever has gone up a little bit, so Jake grabbed me some medicine and I'm hoping that helps. Jake has a 50-mile training run in the AM, so he wants pasta for dinner. I think I need chicken noodle soup. We will see what we can find! I am REALLY hoping I wake up tomorrow and feel better.
One of my cute nurses has stayed by my side all day, the other one doesn't really care. Aspen is the best cuddler.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday! Oh, and happy St. Patrick's Day! Go drink a few green beers for me!
I write about whatever is going on each day. I want to use this space as a place to document my dissertation and training journeys.
