I refuse to make more than one trip when I'm carrying groceries...I don't know why I hate it so much, but I always have!
Lunch was leftovers from our BBQ! I decided I needed a veggie burger AND a brat. The veggie burger got hard after I microwaved it, so I ended up throwing most of it away. But the brat was amazing.
This is the sausage that I cut up and put into our veggie soup. It's super good! I got it at Price Cutter. I let it thaw a little, but just cut it up frozen and tossed it in with everything else.
Veggie and sausage stew, ready to cook all day! I just threw a bunch of chopped up veggies, with water and chicken broth, in the crockpot and cooked it on high all day. I added some black pepper, turmeric, and coriander, but that's it! Super simple, and super healthy!
Cornbread was on sale, so I couldn't resist...it's a weakness! Jake doesn't love it, so I figured a HUGE batch would be a good idea. Eye-roll.
Yesssss. Definitely had a piece as soon as it came out of the oven. With a little butter and honey, of course!
I got first in the Garmin Step Challenge last week! I honestly don't really know what this is or why I get notifications about it, but it's still cool!

A major pet-peeve of mine is having notifications on an app. My students emailed me assignments this week instead of posting them on the online platform we use for our class. I haven't graded them yet and that email notification is driving me bonkers! Anyone else hate those little red numbers?
I threw my new zip-up from AdventureMax on before yoga. Isn't this sweet? It's probably one of my favorite race 'shirts'. It's SO comfy.
The soup I made in the crockpot yesterday turned out super good!
I added quinoa and Sriracha...then it was perfect!
I slept in this morning. I'm meeting Kayla and Jyssica at 5 am tomorrow for a track workout, so I figured I'd sleep in a little today. My bed just felt SUPER comfy this morning...
When I finally got up, I made the bed and then went into another room to get something and came back to this...I was literally gone for 30 seconds!
They only look innocent...I know this was ALL Lulu. She's so ornery. But they're both just so dang adorable. <3
I wore my Dogwood shirt on my run today - this is our next trail race. We are doing the back-to-back challenge. So we will both do the 15K on Saturday, then on Sunday, I will do the 25K and Jake will do the 50K. It's going to be fun! But I also know we will be super sore...
This was on our race calendar for the day - I can relate to SO many of these! Especially #2 and #5.
This is my favorite running weather! I started with gloves, but have to shove them into my tights after 2 miles. I just get too hot wearing gloves.

This weather can stay forever! I love starting a run and being cold, because after about a mile, I am the perfect temperature. I got a little warm this morning and probably should've worn shorts. I always forget what to wear when it gets chilly. I think if it's 40 and above, I can do shorts, but under 40, I need tights. Anyone else have a rule they go by?
The views around our home are beautiful - I feel like I take them for granted. I love this little creek, especially in the fall.
Guys, I finally got peanut butter! Wahoo! ; ) I put it on top of my oatmeal/egg concoction and it was DELICIOUS. Why did I ever stop eating this?! I have a feeling it's going to be making an appearance a lot...
More computer stuff today! This week is stressful because I'm on deadlines for a lot of different things, all of which are unrelated. I'm taking a lot of deep breaths and working on not getting overwhelmed. I WILL get everything finished, it's just going to be hard work.
Any temperature rules out there for clothes when working out outside?
Any other notification haters out there? Or am I just crazy...
