Another day another breakfast scramble and a waffle!
I wanted to share some shorts with you! I just got THESE. They're Brooks Chaser Short. I am not a huge fan of tight shorts or anything super short. I never have been. I don't like the feeling of being restricted when things are too tight and I don't like when my shorts ride up. If I ever want tight shorts, I'll run in spandex. I have wide hips and thick legs, so I am always looking for something that fits well. I am SUPER picky about shorts. These fit like a DREAM.
I ran in them for the first time yesterday and was SO impressed. I think I'll be racing in these! I have some shorts that I have been running in since high school that I love, but Jake HATES them. I guess I can finally get rid of them. Maybe. ; )
I had an easy 8 mile run yesterday. I stayed in the aerobic heart rate zone the whole time and never looked at my paces. When I finished my run, I was pleased that my pace is increasing even though I'm staying in a lower zone.
P.S. I cannot get those spots off my mirror. Any tips?
Lunch was leftover chili and a muffin. I shared this recipe on Instagram yesterday, but here is it!
Sweet Potato Chili Recipe:
4 cups chopped sweet potatoes
1 pound chopped chicken breast
1 chopped red onion
1 can tomato sauce
1 can black beans
1 can garbanzo beans
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup water
Cook on low in crockpot for 8 hours
I worked on my computer most of the day, but I made sure to take Lu cuddle breaks.
Pretzels and hummus with Sriracha for a snack.
For dinner, we met some friends at Galloway. I had the tuna steak sandwich and veggies.
It's always a blast when we can get together!
Then it was back home for more cuddles and bed time.
I'm taking Lu to a new place to get her hair cut. I'll share all about it Monday! Then I have a lunch date with my parents. Jake and I have a pretty low-key weekend. We are going to see Jake Owen Saturday night, so I can't wait for that! I've never seen him in concert. I hope you all have the best weekends!
