We headed to the vet yesterday morning. Jake warned me that Aspen did not like going to the vet at all. Lu loves going to the vet, well, she loves going anywhere, really. I decided to walk the girls to the vet, hoping that might help. We are just about a mile from the office, so it's perfect.
This was the scene the entire time we were at the vet office. Luckily, Aspen didn't cry at all, which really surprised me. When she cries, she sounds like a pterodactyl. Not joking. Lu spent the whole time exploring and giving kisses, and Aspen sat between my legs. Overall, it was a good visit! I was a little nervous since it was my first time taking Aspen, but she did just fine!
We walked home from the vet, then both dogs went into our bedroom and passed out. Getting shots is hard work.
It was about lunch time when we got home, so I threw together the last bit of leftovers. Sloppy Joe stuff, quinoa, and sautéed spinach.
I did a little bit of work and realized our house really needed to be dusted. I started dusting, but then got distracted by wanting to rearrange some stuff. I move this picture from our living room into our bedroom. I like it here a lot better!
Lu was still sleeping. This is her spot to sleep at night. Sometimes she sleeps under our bed, but she's usually in this spot. Both of our dogs used to sleep in bed with us, but two dogs was too much. Does anyone have dogs that sleep with them??
I did a little bit more work, then needed a snack break. After my snack, I sat on the couch to work a little bit more. I think it was about 2:30. The next thing I know, I'm waking up at 5 PM. I had passed out! I think I'm still trying to catch up on sleep from my bachelorette party weekend.
Dinner last night was the rest of the salad we had Monday thrown into wraps. I was really good! We also had sweet potato fries, which I ended up throwing back into the oven because they weren't crispy enough. I should've used my AIrFryer.
After dinner, we finished planting our flowers! I forgot to take a picture, so I'll post one later.
Jake has his bachelor party this weekend and he's going mountain biking with his buddies. He wanted to do some stuff to his bike, so the girls and I went out to the shop to hang out with him while he worked. I don't normally drink soda, but I'm on a Diet Coke and vodka kick right now. Tito's is hands-down my favorite vodka. I made a little drink, then headed out to the shop to watch Jake work.
All the bike stuff.
Aspen was scared of the bike rack. I wasn't complaining, though. I'll take more cuddles!
We had some sleepy girls on our hands.
Kayla and I lifted again this morning. She sent me this picture from when we lifted Monday.
Kayla and I both still have pretty sore legs, so we focused on arms, backs, and abs this morning. We did some air squats, just to get our legs moving. This is one of my favorite graphic tanks.
I'm hoping to get a bike ride in later today. It's kind of rainy here right now, but I think it's supposed to stop later on. Fingers crossed.
Jake and I are having our parents over for dinner tonight. We want to go over some wedding stuff with everyone. I can't believe we leave for our wedding in TWO weeks! We are getting married in Breckenridge, so everyone will be traveling. It's coming up so soon.
I write about whatever is going on each day. I want to use this space as a place to document my dissertation and training journeys.
