I had a workout class in the late morning yesterday, so Lu and I lounged in bed, answering emails, before I left. Can you tell I hadn't washed my self tanner off yet? HA!
Having a fire going is one of my favorite things when it's cold out. I can’t wait to have our tree up and decorated. I love the smell of a real Christmas tree. Anyone else get a real tree?
Breakfast this week has been egg casserole and waffles. I don’t like this egg casserole as well as others I have made. I couldn’t figure out why, then I remembered I forgot to put garlic powder and black pepper in the casserole before I cooked it. Whoops.
Sunday night cuddles on the couch. I love Mondays, but I don’t think Lu feels the same...she didn't want Sunday to end.
Friday morning, Lu and I went over to my parents to workout. Well, I worked out. Lu was given the bacon grease...spoiled much?
I took yesterday off from blogging - while it was nice to be unplugged from my phone, I sure missed you guys! So, let’s get caught up. My fiend, Jyssica, is fostering the sweetest puppy. I went over to play with her on Wednesday and she is the most laidback puppy I’ve ever seen. She’s a 5 month old Golden Retriever and she is SO precious.
How excited do you guys think Jake was about his new beer the other night? Check out this face.
We are having smoothies for breakfast this week. These have spinach, flaxseed milk, protein, beets, collagen, MCT Oil, plain Greek yogurt, frozen banana, and ice in them. Mmmm.
This picture is from Saturday, but it just makes me so happy! Here are the Springfield Trail Sisters! We had our first run together Saturday morning. I didn’t get to run, but I still had a blast getting to know these women. I can’t wait to see what this group does! If you’re in the area, are a female, and want to have a group to run with, come join us! We would love to have you!!
I literally sat all day yesterday. My ankle hurts pretty bad, so I tried to stay off of it and keep it elevated. I’m pretty bummed about this sprain. I felt so good coming off of my marathon and gearing up for this 20 mile trail race. Now I’m just hoping I’ll still be able to run that race. I’ve got some time, it’s in December, so I’m keeping all my fingers and toes crossed.
Breakfast burritos for breakfast.
I write about whatever is going on each day. I want to use this space as a place to document my dissertation and training journeys.
