Still feeling a little under the weather, which I hate because it's SO gorgeous outside. Jake did well on his trail run yesterday, he listened to his body and got 30 miles in, in just under 7 hours. Very impressive! He feels good today, just a little sore. We are both taking it easy!
Yesterday, I didn't have much of an appetite, but I tried to eat at least something small every few hours. For lunch I had some Paleo BBQ chicken, cajun cashews, and dried pineapple slices. It really hit the spot. Lu thought I should share with her.
I spent the day working on my comp and got a lot finished! I'm hoping to be completely finished by tonight, so I can revise and edit all three one last time before submitting them Thursday. We are going to Bentonville for the weekend, so I'm excited that I won't have to worry about comps while we are gone!
When Jake got home, he was worn out and starving, and I hadn't left the house ALL day, so we decided to run to Galloway for dinner real quick. We both chugged some water and chowed down. It was delicious, like always. I had a bowl of green chili pork soup and Jake got the Redbird, which is a grilled chicken breast with hot sauce and melted cheese, all on a bun. And of course sweet potato fries. It was just what we needed - food and relaxation!
Got up this morning, feeling about the same as yesterday. We had planned to go to an event at Cherry Picker, but I still don't feel all that great, so we decided to grab breakfast somewhere and then come back home to relax. Plus, I still have some work to do on my comp. Aspen was pretty sad that we were leaving without her to get food - she gives the best puppy dog eyes. I broke out one of my favorite tanks...coffee. Always coffee.
We went to Brew Co. for breakfast and it was phenomenal. We both cheated a little...I had french toast, two eggs, and bacon. Jake had an omelet with cheese, chorizo, and veggies. I didn't try his, but we both LOVED mine. Jake's omelet had Sriracha aioli...um, yes please!
I hope everyone has a relaxing Sunday and gets to spend some time outside in the sunshine!
I write about whatever is going on each day. I want to use this space as a place to document my dissertation and training journeys.
