I am obsessed with this song right now.
Still loving these blueberry muffin overnight oats.
I was supposed to do a workout run Tuesday, but I felt like my body just needed one more day of healing. My coach told me to listen to my body, so I swapped an easy run day and the workout. I’m glad I did! It felt good to run in the sunshine, but I definitely wasn’t ready for a workout.
He knows me too well...our new house is only 3 miles from our current house.
How many Altras are too many? Only the snow boots on the floor aren’t Altra. Do we have a problem?
This dairy-free dressing is delicious.
That dressing on top of tuna and half an avocado is amazing.
These two have been so wonderful this week. They’ve gotten packed up and carted off so many times while our house is shown.
I had a ton of this pineapple fried rice left over from Sunday night. I’ve been snacking on it each day.
I am loving this weather. All. The. Sunshine.
We hung out at 4 By 4 Tuesday night while someone was looking at our house. The girls loved it.
Happy to be back home!
Morning snuggles with my baby.
We had a few showings yesterday, so the girls and I headed to my parents’ house for the morning. I knocked out some work and then headed out for my workout run.
I had mile repeats on the schedule, so I was excited, but also nervous. I hadn’t done a hard workout in over a week. I was definitely feeling better, so I thought I’d be able to knock it out just fine. I was glad I had given my body one more day of antibiotics and healing.
Good luck smooches from my girls.
It was toasty out! There wasn’t really a good place to do this workout, so I ran out and backs on a back country road. I ended with 12.5 miles for the day. The run went by pretty quickly. Maybe because I was just going back and forth each mile? I was proud of myself for getting the run finished. I felt pretty good during it, too!
I have been loving the Spring Energy gels. This was my first time taking this one. It was delicious!
This is the road where I was doing my mile repeats. It worked out really well and drivers were kind and always gave me plenty of room.
The paces with yellow dots were my mile repeats. I stayed pretty close to the paces I needed. I pushed it on the last mile because I wanted to finish faster. I had a one minute walking recovery in-between each mile, so that was nice. 12.5 miles for the day. It’s life saving to put a workout into my watch. That way, I don’t even have to think about the next step.
I finished off the elk stew for lunch. It was delicious.
We had dinner with Jake’s family last night, so that was a blast. I teach on campus this morning and then we get to babysit our niece tonight!!! We are so excited.
Happy Friday Eve, friends!
I write about whatever is going on each day. I want to use this space as a place to document my dissertation and training journeys.
