Anything food related makes me so happy + Jake is going to crush it!

I ran some last minute errands for Jake while he was at work yesterday. First stop, tire rotation. I had all of the beverages with me and finally got started reading Kara’s new book. I love it so far!
I also got the oil changed and filled our truck up with gas – we are ready to go! I stopped by the store for essentials…like, a beverage to hand Jake when he crosses the finish line. No race is complete without a finish line beer.
I wasn’t hungry until after all of my errands, so I sipped on my protein shake on my drive home.
I did one final load of laundry, then sat down and had lunch. I put some of the leftover cashew pesto on my fish. Best decision ever!
How precious is this little guy? Jake and I got him that onesie he’s rocking. It says, “Got my mind on my Mommy and my Mommy on my mind”. We cannot wait to meet him!

Jake accidentally ordered the wrong size in some socks, so I tried them on, not really thinking I’d like them. Holy cow. They’re SO comfy! They’re Swiftwick. I’m going to run in them and see what I think, but I am pretty sure I’m going to like them.
I used some of the homemade ginger BBQ sauce to make some BBQ chicken. It smelled heavenly.
I thought I’d share this graphic from Gu! It’s super informative regarding timing and nutrition. I know I don’t take in enough fluids when I’m racing, so I’m going to really focus on that during my full next month.
YESSSSS. These (and garlic powder and black pepper) are basically the only seasonings I use. They’re SO good.
When your husband is running a hundred and you’re crewing for him….necessities. I know it’s not even comparable to running a hundred, but crewing for one is crazy. I love supporting Jake as he does these races. He seriously amazes me. I have zero desire to do anything like it, but it sure makes you appreciate the athletes out there crushing it. I’ll share more about crewing after his race – I’ll see if I can get him to do a little write-up, too!
We will be camping and I don’t want to mess with cooking, so I am making some sandwiches and taking all the snacks. The easier, the better. I was craving Pop-Tarts for some weird reason, so, I got some!
Baking time! I made Pumpkin Banana Oatmeal Cookies and they are delicious.
Yummmmm.

Pumpkin Banana Oatmeal Cookie Recipe: 2 cups old-fashioned oats
1 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
2 medium ripe bananas
1 cup pumpkin purée
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
3 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
Bake @ 400 for 20-25 – BOOM.

I mean, so good. I doubled the recipe and froze a bunch. I’ll take the rest with us this weekend…if I don’t eat them all…
I was sitting on the couch, working on my computer, and all of a sudden, Lu jumped up and curled into me really hard. I could tell she needed some love. I put everything away and we just cuddled. In case you were wondering, I am still obsessed with Zevia…
Dinner was not pretty, but it was SO yummy. BBQ chicken baked sweet potatoes.
I could eat this again right now.
We are outta here! Jake starts his race early Saturday morning. They run through the night, so he will cross the finish line some time super early Sunday morning. Prayers and positive vibes are appreciated! I’ll try to update on Instagram and Facebook if I have service – you never know what you’re going to get!
Happy Friday, friends!
